For about a while now, I've been obsessed with Cubemelt—a comic character with about 200K+ followers on Instagram, and has a mobile game and, hell, even an entire TV show about him.
But you might be wondering: why am I so into this character to begin with? Why did I feel the need to make an entire site dedicated to my obsession about a seemingly insignificant character?
HOW DID THIS EVEN START?
Usually, these sort of obsessions start immediately—I'm the type of person who tends to get hooked on a certain character right after I know about them, but this isn't how THIS certain scenario started. I actually knew about CubeMelt way before this year, it was more around 2021 - 2023, where I was watching some sort of "funny comic compilation" or whatever, and there was this comic that stood out to me, which portrayed CubeMelt in Humpty Dumpty, which was kinda entertaining to me.
Now, back then, I wasn't one to draw art out of every character I saw, as I wasn't as interested in drawing anything not object show related (which is weird, because CubeMelt himself is pretty similar to an object show character).
THE "REKINDLING"
Believe it or not, I didn't encounter or thought about CubeMelt for a period of time up until the 20th of August of 2025, where someone on a Discord server shared a gif of CubeMelt... well, melting. I then, for some weird reason, reminded myself about CubeMelt, and then decided to Google their name to see what they were up to, and before I knew it, I was actively liking a couple of their Instagram comics.
Curious as well, I decided to search up their name on YouTube, and I was thinking they were probably making animations or something of the sort, which was true, but it was directed at a younger audience than mine. I decided to watch a couple of the episodes, and I gotta say...
..I'm ashamed to admit that I REALLY enjoy the show.
There was something about it that made me hooked—I don't know if it was just the cuteness of it all or the show being genuinely entertaining, I got no clue. What I did know, is that I was HOOKED.
